Rhino is knocked out during their fight with Spider-Man by a combined hit from Shocker and Electro and is imprisoned once again. Rhino would later rejoin the Sinister Six only to be defeated by Spider-Man who mad him jump on thin ice over a lake, sinking him to the bottom of the ocean.

Spider-Man did throw him an air tank so O'Hirn would not drown. Tinkerer extracts him before the police arrive and Rhino goes to destroy a chip containing information on recreating the Rhino armor by Doctor Octopus. He is defeated once again and imprisoned in the Vault.

Unlike his previous incarnations, Rhino is a school boy named Alex, who has an internship at S. Alex origins correlate somewhat match with the second Molten Man , as he was bullied relentlessly by Flash Thompson.

Alex is then taken into Custody by S. Rhino returns several more times, and eventually joins the S. During the series finale, Alex is finally cured of his condition and returns to normal. In the episode "A Day in the Life," he is pricked with a needle by the Jackal. This leads to the episode "Party Animal," where the serum in the needle transforms Aleksei into a monstrous man-rhino hybrid during the school dance.

Eventually, Simon Krieger and his Roxxon team shows up and supposedly apprehends Rhino. However, it is later revealed they took him back to their research department and equipped him with red armor that makes him immune to Miles' Venom Blast. With the information given from Prowler, Rhino attacks Spider-Man and the Tinkerer and renders them both unconscious. Sometime after that, Spider-Man and the Tinkerer have escaped and Rhino confronts them with many Roxxon members. The two work together by knocking off enough armor for Miles' powers to have an effect on Rhino again until he is too weak to fight.

As Miles researches information about the Nuform Core, Rhino taunts Phin about Krieger informing him of her brother's death and that she was too blame. He soon laughs over it, but ends up screaming as she brings her blade into his chest until she is tackled by Spider-Man into the subway tunnel, with many debris blocking their way back into the lab afterwards. It is unknown what happened to Rhino afterwards, but it is assumed that he was found by the real authorities and taken back to the Raft.
